Micah Lockman-Fine
I'm a design researcher. I study future imaginaries through speculative design and human-computer interaction.
I produce scholarly research, curate exhibitions, design performances, facilitate workshops, write and edit, and conduct physical, digital, and bio-design-based artwork and material experiments.
Across settings, I am most focused on building critical capacity in users-visitors-audiences. To meet that end, I draw from experiential futuring, cyberfeminism, postcolonial and frictional computing, pluriversal design, and complexity theories, looking at entangled networks of human bodies, digital technologies, and more-than-human worlds.
